Fran Herr wins the Dean’s Medal!

Congratulations to Fran Herr for winning the UW College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Medal. Fran took part in the WXML project Matching Graphs. WXML Director: Prof. Christopher Hoffman

We’re delighted to have Professor Christopher Hoffman join us as the new director of the WXML. Professor Hoffman’s research is in ergodic theory, probability theory, and geometry, and he has mentored several WXML projects, including a long-running project on the Mathematics of Gerrymandering.
